Free Indeed.
from Vance K Jackson of You Version
“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” John 8:36 KJV
Let the Son set you free. John 8:36 AMPC declares, “So if the Son liberates you [makes you free men], then you are really and unquestionably free.” Love liberates. Love has no boundaries. Love will unquestionably set you free. Christ will set your heart free. Choose not to keep others held hostage in the bondage of the past. Choose to forgive. Choose to liberate yourself from the past. Liberate others. Liberate your family from the bondage of the past. Freedom is a choice.
Matthew 18:21-35 KJV expounds on the story of a king who completely forgave one of his servants for a large sum of debt that he owed to the king — ten thousand talents. When the king forgave his servant of this enormous weight crushing debt — the servant and his entire family were released from the grip of the debt owed. The servant’s entire family was set free. Forgiveness releases you from the weight of bondage. Forgiveness releases you and others from the weight of past. Forgiving others will set you free.
Oddly enough, a short time after this powerful, yoke-breaking instance with the king, this selfsame servant found one of his fellowservants who owed him much less — an hundred pence. This servant choked his fellowservant and demanded that he pay him back the small amount owed. In fact, the servant ordered that his fellowservant be cast into prison. Who have you placed in prison?
God has forgiven you of much. God has forgiven you of a debt that you could not repay — so why place others in the prison of the past? Choose to let Love rule your heart. Choose to let Love lead your actions. Choose to forgive and let the past go. Put the past behind you and let Love flourish. Choose to move forward in Christ.
